Nice Pub Run by new manager since July 2011, great atmosphere with good price drinks and good simple pub food, WEDNESDAY Nights are great with good JAZZ EVERY WEEK from end of October texcy - 16 Oct 2011 11:37
Thatched pub with 2 main bars. The one on the left on entering is the Village bar, complete with a pool table and dartboard. To the right is a lounge/dining room. Childrens' toys in here indicate the pub is popular with families. There was a wood burner which was not on, meaning the pub was quite cold. We ate a couple of baguettes, whilst I consumed an Aspalls cider. Beers were Greene King IPA and Adnams Bitter. There were 2 spare handpulls. Could be a nice pub, but lacked a little bit of atmosphere. There were also far too many children, such that they outnumbered adults in the lounge. blue_scrumpy - 25 Dec 2010 15:33
JennyC2 says.. "I suggest that they chose the Trowel and Hammer for a roper welcome " If the trowel and hammer is so good why do they need to use a lasso? greenarrow - 8 Aug 2010 00:19
Just a query... Victoria6 says "many of the regulars refuse to go". I can't get my head round this. I'll give it 9 out of ten because Heather Stewart-whyte lives in the village. greenarrow - 8 Aug 2010 00:16
I have just returned from the Bull (25/10/09) and can't fault it. Seemed to me the landlady was perfectly sober and no-one out of our group of twenty-five diners had any complaints at all about the food. Recommended. motorcyclist - 25 Oct 2009 21:01
