Your archetypal pubco refurb that wants to retain that 'character pub feel' but always dismally fails. They had Adnams Bitter, Broadside and GK IPA on along with Golden Sheep as a guest. The Golden Sheep was just about edible. It's handy for the bus stops I suppose. Snarling_Mallard - 11 Jun 2011 23:15
Nothing has changed following dalglish's comments. Still half pub half restaurant. 5 hand pumps on bar but one was unused. 3 Adnams beers BB/B'side/Explorer and 1 for GK IPA I had the Broadside at a whoping £3.40 bjbrummiejohn - 7 Jul 2010 12:58
OK pub, but with no real character and a bit soulless. Seems to be trying to go down the 'gastropub' route but not quite succeeding. Has 'Aspalls' cider on draught. dalglish - 9 Dec 2008 11:16
Wow what a find at last a a great choice of real ales from all over Suffolk in one place. not certain what the last reveiw ate but our meals were really tasty well presented .and great value fred_g - 10 Oct 2008 16:43
the pub looks quite rough, although they have tried to make the pub a lot more upper class that it really is, it has fancy dishes and is almost like they are trying to be the Hadleigh version of Hells Kitchen, the small food portions for what you pay is ridiculous, the only good thing about the pub is that the bar staff are friendly! anonymous - 15 Sep 2007 23:47
