| I have been to this pub quite a few times now. It has always without exception been (even on very busy days) excellent service and food. They were very good about changing items on the menus and accommodating special diets. The staff are just in the background but ready to appear just as you wish to order food/drinks. They have the idea of good service down to a tea. I really do recommend this pretty and friendly pub. They also do set priced menus and I hear you can now book tables. I can’t fault it. | Excellent food and sophisticated atmosphere. The highlight of my visit to the Fountain was the very friendly, efficient staff who would carry out any request immediately. Definitely more of a restaurant than a pub but with well kept Adnams ales.
