This is the third time we have been here over xmas & new year, have to say that the staff were very friendly, even having a joke with them, the food was as discribed, each time we tried something different to eat, & each time we were not disapointed, did'nt have to wait long for the food, plates taken away promply, & all together very well priced unlike some places. the log fire welcomed you & a good selection of beers & wine for the wife, looks a great place to come in the summer, & will be back very soon. looking at the previous reviews makes us think that the reveiwers have been to a different pub or may be just people with nothing better to do! Perhaps Mr Misery should stay down the farmers.

Visited many times during the summer until GMT. Always been a lovely location, an excellent positioned pub to enjoy beautiful country, in a verdant lush valley, with the cut running through it. Warwickshire is one of the best counties.

Most of the regular beers were good and reliable, and the few visiting ales I tried all good too

I love English and the British, for their invention, brewing, friendliness, brilliance and a sublime sense of humour. They’re always offering advice, but when they get to know you, they will back you – they would help anyone. Brilliant people, I’m proud to be pure British and half English.

Bit disappointed that the ‘Fleur’ has had a few negative pitches lately. With nothing really positive since 2010. It was once truly great, enormous renown.

I love that Stowford Press too, when I fancy a change – never had a bad head with that – fantastic stuff. The finest cider must come from Herefordshire.

I was disappointed with the smoking dope (weed), albeit in the smoking area, late summer. This should be a cracking country pub, not a crack house. And right in front of you too - under your nose.

Usually, if just one takes the trouble to comment, must be another 50 keep silent. It’s really good business to have your customers leave, wanting more. But not for them to leave WANTING..!!

Take that good, kind, and friendly advise, from those kind, thoughtful, visitors. You should be either profit from it – or get a crime number. Still got a way to go…

Why not invite them back, and reconcile things.
I’ll be seeing you soon.

This used to be my favourite country pub until tonight, & we would regularly make the journey out to Lowsonford for the pies & log fire in winter and the beautiful canal side setting in summer. Sadly tonight we were defrauded my the management (possibly new?) and will never go back.

For anyone that wants the details, we ordered 'pie plus pudding for £10' with no mention on the sign by the bar of any restrictions to this offer. On paying the bill we were charged for pudding, & told the deal only included 'pudding of the day'. We checked the sign again, and confirmed that no restrictions were mentioned. When we ordered our pudding (having had the smaller main course included in the offer) we weren't told that only 'pudding of the day' was included. I can only assume the pub is deliberately trying to defraud customers out of a few quid by having such a prominent sign by the bar. The barman said the restriction was stated in the paper menu on our table, which we hadn't read, and "that was our fault'". I asked to speak to the manager, ("I am the manager"), & said I could report him for false advertising ("go ahead"). The manager has clearly had no training in hospitality. Even if we had misread the sign (which we didn't) most establishments would have not charged for pudding for the sake of customer satisfaction, and to prevent a review such as this one. The manager would not even come to the other side of the bar to read the sign for himself (and thence realised he was wrong), but just kept waving the paper menu at us. I told him we'd been here lots of times before and never been treated like this, to which he responded "I've never seen you before. Get out". I decided that the sight of him escorting an 18 week pregnant lady off the premises was somewhat undignified, so decided to leave. Sadly we had set up a tab so couldn't not stop them charging us for the pudding which should have been included, as they had already swiped our credit card.

; although he refused to come and look at the sign on the other side of the bar and and

I have returned to this pub quite regularly actually. I love it! Beautiful setting and a good pint. I would never eat there, though - over priced, inedible and unfriendly. Thought you must be a friend, Mario. Good luck with that!
