| this is a one of those places you want as your local , great food , ambience, a serious cooking place not just pub grub , but a real gastro pub, hallelujah. i dont live local it was recommoneded but wish i lived nearer. | I have eaten at the restaurant at this pub on a few occasions, and in the past have had some pleasant meals. However on the last two occasions my requested main meal was not available. However the waitresses did not seem to know that fact and my orders were taken. How come that early service is totally unaware that certain items are not available? There was no apology and no attempt at any compromise. If you like a nice quiet setting then this place is fine, however if you like the food that you order to be on the menu then you might look elsewhere. My party of 6 walked out of this establishment owing to their total lack of care, and at the prices they were charging (£22+ for a fillet steak ) I personally can't recommend it and certainly won't be back!
