| Visited for a family lunch recently. The food was very good, the service was excellent. The pub is a far cry from the place it was 25 years ago when it was a regular drinking haunt. Still has the water-cooled jackets on the casks behind the bar, but the beer (Greene King IPA and Morland Original) is mediocre I am afraid. metrology_man - 9 Aug 2010 09:05 |
| Excellent pub run by hardworking folk who deserve to do well. Always a really warm welcome. Beers kept well and nice choice. Food is simple, but quality ingredients, very well cooked. Steaks good, salad fresh. Ham, Eggs & Chips wonderful. Who could ask for more from a small country pub? Will keep going back and recommending to others. VillageResident - 22 Oct 2009 15:10 |
