Description

Since we bought the lease the pub has continued to get better and better. The Poachers was awarded the Pub and Entertainment award 2007/2008. We now have a total number 10 TVs, with one that goes outside making The Poachers the best place to view sports in the area. We have Sky Sports and Setanta. We also have special offers on drinks and will have guest bottled beers. We have monthly events including live bands and karaoke. While we don't have a food menu, we do have fresh cooked pizzas and Rollover Hot Dogs on sale. You are welcome to bring your own food in or even have it delivered here. All we ask is you purchase your drinks from us. We are now open till 1am on Fridays and Saturdays (the bar shuts at 12:30). On Thursdays we have the weekend warm up, house doubles & dash just £3, selected bottles £2 and a free juke box from 8pm . We look forward to seeing everyone.

Great pub, great atmosphere, great beer, great bands, great people, great fun what more could you ask for? Oh yeah fit women!! There are quite a few. The land lady is worth a trip just on her own! Some good looking lads too for the ladies! 10 out of 10 for The Poachers!

I absolutely love this pub, used to be a bit rough but since the new owners took over it's become fantastic. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly and cannot do enough to make your visit an enjoyable one. The owners are a young couple who really seem to care that people are having fun and obviously know what the locals want as it gets busier every time I'm in there!!

Large pub with good potential which is being put to good use by the new owners who are wonderful. Really friendly with a new manager who is very funny.The place is a lot cleaner than it used to be with a lot of work being done. The drinks range is now very good and getting better each week and also the entertainment being put on is great. I went to the Blues Brothers show last week which was fantastic. Can't wait for the next band! Like the people said before top marks guys and keep up the good work.

Excellent pub, great for watching the footy. New owners are great especially the new landlady who is well fit!! Just keeps getting better and better. Top marks guys!

what a great pub much better then the over rated Greyhound at least staff and locals in the poachers are not stuck up there own ass's keep up the good work
