This pub is on parr with the bulls head now a days. Atleast when the old landlords were there they kept trouble away, now ppl are fighting in there every weekend, and its usually the guy behind the bar that starts it!! It is more of a youth club than a pub to be honest.

Can be ok sometimes but usually very quiet these days, the bar is very shamefully stocked and could do with another new gaffer i think, although they do have a pool table and a juke box in there.

Having read the above comment, I felt compelled to leave my own opinion regarding this pub.

This pub recently changed hands. Although the original landlord didn't care much for the place and left it to ill repute (it was an embarrasment to the rest of the village). Fortunately it has now been taken over and is under a major refurbishment, the atmosphere should also be improved by the lack of ingrained stench caused by years of smokers!
According to the new landlord they be reopening the doors in around a months time (mid/end Nov 07). Having lived in the village most of my life, I personally can't wait!! From the sounds of it, it should a great pub.
