The previous post appears to come from the former licensee at the George. Whilst we're assured that prostitutes were never regular clientelle for the four years after they bought it in 2004, doesn't that take us right up to 2008? Perhaps this confusion stretches to his or her memory of the many aggressive clashes and yes, fights that I and everyone else saw during their tenure. The George was and is a rough pub run with a casual approach to its pitiful drug scene.

ile have u know! the george did never have prostitutes in it, we bought the pub in 2004 and we refurbished it, and since then we had a strict dress code, and only decent people was allowed in, we had the george for nearly 4years and we had 1 little scrap in there, other than that it was good, and great to handle, i dont know what its like now adays because we dont go in/near there anymore but who ever says it wasnt a nice pub then i think there wrong

In the unlikely event of the previous comments about this place enticing you in, don't expect any real ales on offer
