user reviews of the Victory Inn, Wickham St Paul

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Inept clumsy staff (split drinks all over a guest, including hearing aid)
Said there was no vodka in the soup - obviously there was a two children ill very shortly afterwards
Rude staff - said they were plating up when asked 3 times where the food was, in the end it took 2 hours from arrival to receive main course.
Kept forgetting things and no offer of sauces
Food - bland - not worth the wait

Thoroughly disappointing and certainly would not visit again or recommend to anyone. Totally appalling. No manager nor landlord at the time of visit, nor did they have the decency to call as requested. Completely ruined and spoilt celebration lunch.

Wonderful find this place. Ceratinly worth the drive. Great ales, and Aspells cider, which is always a plus. Good menu. Atmosphere somewhat sterile, but dont be put off by that. This is as good as an English traditional pub gets.

Lovely pub overlooking a Village Green complete with Cricket Pitch. Food excellent and superb value for money. Try the Sunday Roast. Beer from Greene King and Adnams, usually a Guest Ale as well. Well worth a Visit
