| SGA is right - two handpumps, only one in use dispensing on-the-turn Brew XI. The landlady (I presume it was the landlady) who served me was friendly enough and said they were going to get other real ales in, and asked me for suggestions! The pub itself is the same as it was before it closed, but with a coat of fresh paint. I went in at lunchtime and there were about a dozen punters in the place, including a couple of real low-life types who were f-ing and blinding loudly. I won't be in any hurry to return, and I guess that at night it won't be a pleasant place for a drink. It might perform a useful function in keeping the types who like pool, lager and karaoke out of the decent pubs in Harborne. I give it six months max. scoobybooze - 13 Apr 2011 17:24 |
