| Friendly and very prompt service. Food OK and reasonable value as you would expect from the Vintage Inns offering. Not great ale choice, but luckily it was a hot day and I was on my bike, so opted for the Grolsch Blond. Suprisingly drinkable. davvac - 27 Apr 2011 18:22 |

| This is one of four Vintage Inns pubs in this area, the others being the Firecrest (near Wendover), the Duck Inn (Aston Clinton) and the Bugle Horn (near Aylesbury), and in my view it's the best of them for atmosphere. The food isn't for gourmets, but as chain pub food goes it's not at all bad. The beer available at any given time varies, so any predictions are likely to be out of date, but there's usually something palatable. cato - 10 Aug 2010 17:20 |
