| TS77 is too harsh about this. Yes, this is very much a local's pub, and I would expect it predominantly serves the council estate located behind it. But I thought it was a reasonable place: friendly and polite service; some real ale (I think - I didn't look very carefully); and a very non-threatening atmosphere unlike some pubs of this kind. I felt effort had gone in to making this reasonably welcoming to allcomers. grecian - 8 Apr 2008 10:13 |
| The juxtapostion of a pub of this foul nature with such a worthy symbol of London history and tradition as the nearby Whittington Stone takes the breath away. The only thing "right" about this place is its location in such a soul destroying quagmire as Archway. TS77 - 18 Mar 2008 09:23 |
