Same name as a couple of years ago, but the locals have been cleared out, the Sky Sports subscription cancelled, marijuana aroma scrubbed away, beer prices doubled, restaurant tables added and hipster attire made compulsory. [All for good and for bad].

RECENTLY REFURBISHED AS A specialist real-ale and craft-ale pub.
Refurbished. New all round.

On the face of it youd think that this would be a half decent pub as it has a couple of pool tables, numerous TVs and a huge projector screen at the back, but alas it is not. I think that its major downfall is the clientele who think nothing of openly skinning up whilst there is a young child present and think it is ok to do tricks on their BMX in the middle of the pub.

The barmaid was quite miserable, but then so would I be if I was confronted with this madness everyday when I went to work. Funnily there was no real ale so I plumped for the Guinness which was thoughtfully served up in a Kronenburg glass. I managed to find a table as far from the locals as possible and watch the last 15 minutes of the Liverpool game on Sky, sorry did I say Sky, I meant to say Nova Sports.

I was relieved once I had passed the group of people generating the purple haze by the entrance and turned the corner up the road.

This is a pub with management that have totally lost control and I wouldnt step foot in here again if it was the last pub standing.

I've only been to this pub once but had a fantastic time there -- it has 2 pool table which got me really excited, and one of those internet juke boxes that can look up any song you want. It has a nice garden too. I was a bit overexcited when I was there and played lots of pool and got progressively worse then somehow was trying to put daddy yankee on the juke box but accidentally kept putting crazy frog on (it's hard to work when you're wasted) then before I knew it I was dancing to shakira on the picnic tables in the outside. Someone tried to start a fight with the boys I was with but my sister and I didn't notice, we had a ace time and made friends with nice people. I'm a bit scared to go back though.

Real hackney I guess, 4 screens showing the FA Cup semi, smattering of West Ham nutters, solitary men staring into space, an animated dominos game, mainly men but a group of four women arrived, a mix of black and white. No real ale but 'real' enough in every way, if you can make the trip
