| I don't have words to explain how disappointed we were with this place - it was bad. Main complaint was that they refused to give me a glass of tap water! ... second the food was terrible. third, they messed up our bill and were vastly over charging us... as you can imagine this caused embarrassment to the evening, and when i suggested that they took of the 15 percent (!) tip they automatically added to our bill they flat out refused. i feel cheated and would not recommended this place at all. elephants - 8 Aug 2008 20:19 |
| Am so glad I'm not the only one. This is one of those places i've walked past so when i decided to go in one evening i was looking forward to it. Yes, the atmosphere is unique .. but thats about the only positive. Sevice very average on the night Cover charge is per head, which they didn't make clear until after we'd bought the wine!" More importantly, food was at the best average, and the worst very poor indeed. Moreover, when i had the nerve to complain, i was told by the owner that my comments were 'silly' , that i would be better suited to a 'fast food chain' and so on... Appalled at her response to my complaints and for this reason .. don't don't don't bother jrw808 - 8 Nov 2006 22:39 |
| Not to everyone's liking, a lot of room for improvement, if only the management were more welcoming and didn't see the pound sign everytime someone walked in the door. mystery_t - 19 Dec 2005 13:26 |
| What a complete and utter pile of rubbish. Avoid at all cost. Over priced drinks, over priced food - just diabolical. A candidate for worst pub of the year. £45 a head for frozen food and what I can only describe as cooking wine. 1930's themed gypsy swing bar - The service and cooking methods are circa 1830's. | what a shame....... ive been here for a birthday b4 and it was great, however we went there for the missus birthday last night and they dropped the ball massively the band never turned up (i'm not sure there ever was a band, perhaps they just told us that to secure the booking ?) the food was bad, about a third of the meals were left untouched or sent back, and then we got a very questionable 45£ a head bill. i wouldnt mind so much if we didnt get such a half-hearted insincere appology from the managment, i didnt believe a word they said. its a shame, but after last night they deserve to be slagged off! hughc - 23 Aug 2005 08:44 |
