| Part of the Jack Beards group, this pub has had a running succession of managers who don't stick around that long. Popped in there this week and there is a new manager who's been in the trade for years and seems to know his stuff, already stopping the freeloader's on match days by charging on the door with redeemable bar tokens, this has stoped all the crap from getting in. I understand from talking to him the kitchen will be up and running soon with food available. I know he has plans to launch regular entertainment, quiz's, Karaoke, caberet acts etc. A good eastend boozer with great beer and real ale comming soon!, friendly, if not loud on Arsenal match days, well worth a visit and definatley one to watch. | Good pub, has heaps of potential, needs a good coat of paint and interior redone, including the toilets - they are terrible! Barstaff are excellent and has a good local feel about it. Beer is nice too. Theres not really any other pub around so after a good polish and a good chef, the place would be a gold mine!! anonymous - 3 Jan 2006 13:28 |
