This was our 6th pub of the day following a visit to the Clapton Hart, just the other side of a busy roundabout. Ironically, the Clapton Hart was the best pub of the 6 and is not listed on here. I'll request it to be added. The Crooked Billet no longer looks recognisable from the photo above. It has a modern, stylish interior. The only thing it lacked was customers and atmosphere on a Saturday lunchtime. The 4 real ales were all from local breweries - Redemption Trinity, Moncada Notting Hill Amber, Trumans Swift & Signature Brew Bitter Session. We opted for bottles of the Orbit Seven, which was very expensive. Not as good or as popular as the Clapton Hart. But more convenient for the station.

A really slick operation. Bar really well staffed, friendly quick service, excellent choice of ales and a quality massive beer garden. The building looks a bit moody as you approach but once inside you'll be pleasantly surprised. Nothing to fault here and if I was in the area I would return.

A very sympathetic refurbishment for a 1930's style roadhouse, now a Cask and Craft pub, several decent beers on from Locale Breweries and top notch Brewers such as Siren. The bar staff were quick, witty and knowledgeable, giving the Clapton Hart a run for its money.Well worth a detour to come here 9/10.

RECENTLY REFURBISHED AS A specialist real-ale and craft-ale pub.
Refurbished. New all round.

Some original locals remain as it has managed to achieve a balance in the refurbishment.
