Would agree with the comments below - a very good pub and well worth the taxi ride from the City centre. We had a good selection of beers in fine form and the food was good honest grub which was not expensive and we didn't wait long for it to arrive. The main is on the main A9 out of Perth and is next to Buckie Braes if you fancy a walk! Good friendly service and cheery lcoals made for a very pleasant visit. Recommended.

Best pub out of 15 we visited in the Perth/Dundee area on Saturday. Situated on the outskirts of Perth, it's well worth the trip out of the centre. 5 real ales were on - Inveralmond Ossian, Inkie Pinkie & Cherrybank Anniversary Ale, Kelburn Misty Law & Houston Texas. The landlord offered samples of the different beers. The Texas was the best beer I tried over the weekend. There are a few different rooms to savour. The doors through from the main lounge to the bar area are certainly interesting. They are quite narrow and take some negotiating if you're carrying a drink.

Five or six ales on offer during a couple of recent visits. The second time I was only stopping for a half, but I was offered two large samples of beers I inquired about - very generous! Handy for the golf. I didn't try the food, but it look good and seemed to be going down well.

Well worth the walk up the hill out of the town centre. The beers were well-kept, the locals were friendly, and the pub itself has some really lovely rooms.
