I'm amazed to find that it's nearly 5 years since I last visited this place, but I was delighted to find that it was just as I remembered it. It calls itself Moreton's traditional pub, and that's just what it is - a real focus for the local community. Good beer, good atmosphere: excellent. earlydrinker - 8 Feb 2012 16:30
The best pub in Moreton by far. This was the first pub my friend and I went to on our Moreton pub crawl. We should have just stayed in here all night! We thought all the pubs would be great but this is not so. This is the only pub i would go back to in this village. 9/10 montie49 - 12 Dec 2011 12:49
Liked the pub a lot, though beer possibly suffering a bit from early in the day and week syndrome. Friendly, and liked the mini-museum on the way to the loos ! mtaylor40 - 9 Jun 2011 22:00
Had a long w/e in Moretonhampstead, visited the Union Inn on 1st night after reading reviews in BITE. Wonderful pub! Excellent Union Bitter, best prices in town, excellent food, ate there every evening. Very friendly, welcoming staff and locals. Try to have a chat with Chris (has a beard and a dog), had a very interesting long conversation with him. If you're in Moreton, you've got to pay the Union a visit! doombarmike - 6 May 2011 15:28
As all the other pubs in this part of Dartmoor appear to be shut on a Monday. We ended up here for lunch. Glad we did. Lovely place. Nice welcome. Beers under the pub name. I didn't ask who brewed them, but my glass had a Red Rock Logo. Very nice pint, with a a sign saying the Mild proper Lager available soon. London Pride also on one of the pumps. The food was very tasty and freshly cooked at a reasonable price. Will definatly be coming back next time in Morton. captaineric - 24 Feb 2011 19:46
