Just re-opened after a refurbishment. Watch your wallet as pints of ale here are an eye watering £3.65/75 a pint!! Miles007 - 4 Aug 2011 10:39
This pub has been in the doldrums for quite some time but seems to have turned a corner. They now serve a decent pint of real ale (I don't normally like Sharp's Doom Bar much, but a pint (or six) a couple of weeks ago slid down a treat as did Timothy Taylor's this week). Problem is, they've only got one 'real' on at a time, but I think they're trying to get two more pumps working. I'm looking forward to having a choice! bonecase - 11 May 2010 13:07
I was a bit disappointed by this pub, it seems like such a decent pub but both times I've been in I've found the bar staff to be very rude. It's a nice traditional pub, and the landlord seems to be making an effort - good beer, lots of stuff going on - quiz nights, etc, but wouldn't recommend it unless you like being insulted by miserable staff. snow_puppy - 7 Feb 2010 22:51
This is sad. Was my favourite pub. But very unloved, Nothing works anymore. The ceiling fell in recently and the kitchen has not been used in years. Even the locals have abandoned the ship. Wish the owners would sell it or put a proper publican in it. Bring back Mick, no don't he would be gutted to see it now. STEVIEBC - 9 Jan 2010 10:49
Good pub this one. A real find. You have a little of everything here, pool, quiz, D.J on saturday nights, ski sports, and at an affordable rate. Not many like this one left. midnightpoolchampion - 15 Apr 2009 12:54
