| This place looked more like a retirement home than a pub. But you'll get a friendly welcome. The largest room is a restaurant. But the other is a public bar and had quite a few young locals in watching the Open golf. Doom Bar was the real ale. | Pub still going despite refurbishment although it rather seems like its only kept running for the benefit of a few regulars. One hand pump but it hasn't been in use the last few times I visited. Pool table and the food in the restaurant is good (Italian). tanglewood - 3 Nov 2006 20:59 |

| This pub has recently referbished, and now looks and feels like a resteraunt that happens to have a pub tagged onto it. Real ale is served, but the only pumps are in the resteraunt side.
