user reviews of the Moorfields Inn, Bath

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

After a long spell, the Moorfields is now a great pub again. Geraldine, Deiter, Carrie and Craig are the perfect hosts, it's definitely a pub to visit and us locals are very pleased to welcome newcomers too.

A pub that harks back to the 60's and is in need of some TLC, however, the locals don't bite and there is plenty of room to swing a cow or two! I have spent many a happy evening sorting out world politics and laughing insanely at random drunkeness, so it's not that bad really.

Has had more changes of managers than Chelsea which is problem as the quality of beer is inconsistant. not bad though could do with decorating but I am led to believe that the 60's look is very big. Courage and Bass on handpump and surprise surprise thatchers cheddar valley. Have these people never heard of Westons?

Tucked away from other pubs, is a decent joint though, and worth a visit as long as you dont' let the locals scare you - Don't worry, they will get used to you eventually.

A nice little pub, if a bit full of old men. In spite of being in oldfield, as yet undiscovered by most students, in spite of the 3 pool tables. If you are gonna go, go on a fri or sat to catch the live music. Only problem is, the locals can tend to stare at you a bit when you first arrive.
