Re opened as the banners stated! Now a free house with two real ales, last night Cloud 9 from the 6 Bells and green King's Bonkers Conkers but was told these will change. Place is now clean and comfortable but not fussy. No food as yet but will follow in a few weeks. Just as well, the place was packed, just about room to slide a sandwich to the mouth, still opening night expected to be so! Talking about the sandwiches if the meals turn out, as well as these great hope for the future. waldgrun - 29 Aug 2010 14:53
Good News.....this pub will reopen on August 28th at 19.00 hrs according to banners appearing in Churchstoke Village! Rumour has it that Dave Powell (Sedge) ex The Miners at Priests Weston has it. If he keeps the Beer as good here as he did there should be worth a visit or two. Will up date and rate when open. waldgrun - 19 Aug 2010 11:36

A lovely pub with a real fire & comfy chairs. I could have stayed forever. The food I have eaten there has been reasonably priced & has tasted excellent. Chips, notout of a huge bag of the frozen catering variety, but actually just like home-made. Splendid place! anonymous - 26 Mar 2006 13:32
