| Gotta agree about the old place, but since the relaunch - Porthouse Nightclub has become a serious part of the Winchester Scene, yet still gets a bad reputation for some unknown reason. Probably not aimed at the older crowd (apart from Friday 80s night), it does appeared to be well-loved by students and those pretending to still be. | I've been to this place 6 times and only been let in once. The main reason seems to be bcos i am not a chav. Other times they've just ignored us. | I have never met such horrible and unpleasant door staff, they are rude and seem to pick on people for no reason. I witnessed completely unprovoked, highly aggressive behaviour from them towards some people. I would recommend going somewhere else in Winchester to be treated like a proper customer. | The Porthouse is great, on a Thursday night you have to be there by 10pm or it is 1 in 1 out. The staff are friendly and aren't threatening at all. The drinks are cheap and the music is great. What more could u ask for? Emilyakaboobs - 2 Mar 2007 02:03 |
