| Must admit that I go to the West End most of the time but friends suggested I went to Mono with them. Its definitely a fun place. A gang of us went on a Saturday night and it ended up being the best night out of the month. Easily. Music was excellent but what I liked most of all was that there was no attitude and no queuing for the bar. If you're a local then go to this bar! If you're not, give it a go anyway. | normally i would avoid memebers bars in favour of 'real pubs' but this one is worth while for the follwing reason: real pubs are really only worth while if you are at least 50 miles outside london. in london 'real pub' often translates into pikey nightmare. the members only bit seems to serve just to keep chavs out. its not at all difficult to join. a welcome relief from the chain pubs and pikey pubs scattered about london. nice people behind the bar, nice clientelle. atmosphere is relaxed, chics are hot. its the sort of place you can mix with people you didnt come with, without any worries about stress. my kind of place. mwmolloy - 21 Apr 2007 18:56 |
| Blandsville.co.uk! I once was unfortunate enough to get invited to a party at this pokey dive. Absolutely packed with Crouch End's finest selection of Guardian reading ponces. We lasted 2.5 minutes, out of politeness before legging it over the road to the Maynard. The place to go if you are a sambuca drinking Meeja Hoor.
