Any pub that has a sign outside reading "We are the cheapest pub in town!" has to be given a wide berth.

I work very close to this pub and yet have never stepped foot inside. It has absolutely no redeeming features to entice me inside.

Drunks stood outside waiting for it to open - check
Scummy look about it - check
Clientele not being able to speak under 1000 decibels - check

Friday afternoon sees the local workman congregate outside around lunchtime. Assuming it's not raining they will stay outside (out on the street, not in the smoking area at the rear) and talk to each other as though they are deaf. Sometimes, you might even be treated to a game of football which invariably involves local businesses having a football aimless punted at their windows.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Unfortunately whatever plans the landlord had for this pub, they have not come into affect. Its very rough and the police seem to be in and out all the time. If you are not a local dont go in, its unfriendly and you get the feeling a brawl is about to break out anytime. Has huge potential if they could change the type of people who visit.

My good friend is the new landlord of this pub.He took over at the latter part of 2006.I went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago and met the locals. They are a great friendly bunch of people. Its not a case of fitting in its a case of enjoying your evening and not scrutinising the locals. The same applies wherever you go.I have been in much, much worse pubs.
My friend has big plans for this pub for all customers alike.
Watch this space as they say.

Well, I can honestly say I've never seen so many Chavs in one place before, one nearly knocked me flying! Shame really, this would be a good pub otherwise.
