Really good Sunday lunch here yesterday - huge portions, well presented, tasty and very reasonably priced (£11.95 for the roast pork). The Ludlow Best at £3.10 a pint was in very good condition. The whole experience was top notch so, when they omitted a couple of drinks from the bill, we were more than happy to correct their error.

Been twice before and were reluctant to give it another go. Glad we did, however; the Ludlow Best was decent, the food was very good and the surroundings darkly cosy. None of this would have mattered, however, had the service not improved immeasurably. Where before we met only apathy, rudeness and irritation, this time we were served with enthusiasm, politeness and attentiveness by the two young barmen. A shining example of how pubs are only as good as their staff.

Still serving Salopian Gold and Wye Valley HPA as I found last year but the clip for the Ludlow Boiling Well was turned around.

Nice atmosphere, more like an old village pub. Beer decent. Worth the extra walk down the hill, but remember you've got to come back up!

A must visit bar with a great atmosphere and three real ales all well kept and all three were up to a high quality and very tasty - i tried all three!!!
Ludlow Best, Shropshire Gold and HPA

Dog friendly we noticed as there were quiet a few in bar.
the bar area is a lovely atmospheric area with wooden paneling and hops with fairy lights in

The only downside we had was the bar man - who's use of fowl language seemed to be uncontrollable and the big studs in his ear but each to their own. A bit down grading for a establishment like this.

But do definitely try this place for a pint and we will return to try some food as the meals going out look great.
