Have started using this place with a gay friend of mine, and I've never felt even slightly out of place. Entirely family friendly, and not at all 'in your face' (for want of a better phrase) about the fact that it's gay friendly. The barstaff are friendly, very competent, and I've never had a problem with the beer. flippincrikeys - 13 Aug 2008 12:52
This Bar is a Gay friendly pub so it welcomes all sexis. If you want a fun night out the tavern is the place to be. The staff are friendly and cheerful. The drinks are a little more expensive than some other pubs but the atmosphere is very good. New years eve is always brilliant there the pub is heaving with all sorts of people and there is a new theme near enough every month. The Tavern has a club room in the back for on a wed,fri and sat night with music booming. There are two bars inside one the front of the pub and one in the back in the club room. strongbow - 15 Dec 2006 20:21
This pub is very male orientated,if your a lesbian you would feel out of place but if you are a fagg hag then lap it up girls. This pub does not cater for its female punters all the shows are for men but what do you exspect when its a gay man that runs it. lillierue - 6 Oct 2006 19:28
No cask ales. A keg lager place. Situated at the end of a scruffy, broken road opposite a builders yard, and on the ugliest stretch of the River Medway. Large and characterless, but offering a variety of games and machines to keep the punters amused. The giant chess set is fun. SilkTork - 27 Sep 2005 20:07
Medway camp itself. mactavish - 17 Jun 2005 10:54
