| Nothing special, but a nice pint of T.E.A... rpadam - 14 Sep 2007 18:52 |
| One of the worst pubs I´ve ever been to. I had read some good comments about this pub when it still belonged to the previous owner. However the change in hands has been an utter disaster. I took some friends for a meal and I was embarrased I had suggested it. I ordered a steak and could not even eat half of it, the dog did not like it either! Definitely a NO-NO. | The landlord has indeed changed, and the new one is an ex regular well known and liked locally (and much more fun). Food is served lunchtime monday to saturday (not Sunday) and is genuinely home cooked and reasonably priced. It's a friendly locals pub with a good range of real ale (TEA, Pride, Directors) as well as the usual lagers. If you are passing, I recommend you drop in. anonymous - 5 Jul 2006 12:26 |
| I went in this pub a couple of years ago. I ordered a pint of T.E.A and my friend asked for a tap water. I was told that they don't do tap water and was asked to leave. It may have changed hands since then. I have heard similar horror stories about the grumpy old landlord. It has got a 3 from me because the buidling is nice and it was a good pint of T.E.A, just a shame I was forced to down it. eggwald - 15 Mar 2006 20:32 |
| This cosy pub is located on the A322.in Bisley. From the outside of the pub one can see that there is old part with a relatively new part to one side. Inside you will find the older part with low beamed ceilings decorated with old farming tools whilst to one side the pub opens up to a large room which is used as a dining area at lunchtime. Pinned to the ceiling in the main bar there is a fabulous collection of key rings. There is a good selection of real ales on sale, my own personal favourite being Hogs Back T.E.A. at the moment. The pub serves good at reasonably prices at lunchtime. It's been our local for over 20 years now and always on our list when friends come for the weekend david snell - 1 Nov 2004 21:30 |
