| Despite being something of a trendy bar, Box, manages to escape the worst of the Headingley socialite scene, with un-pretentious door staff, and decent prices. They may be more than the local or Wetherspoons, but Trio's and Arc are at least half again!! A great menu is complimented by regular offers on beer and wine. A bottle of house red or white is about a fiver in the week. Down points include large numbers of students and the occasional pretentious mullet sporting idiot. | This pub should be on the list cause its really the only late pub in the area. granted its full of trendies but its quite amusing to go and laugh at them! also the main reason i love it, despite the over priced drinks, is the amazing quiz that they have on a monday! and they do exciting food! and they accept that some tv programs cannot be missed and show them in the bar area! eg. last big brother, friends etc. becks - 28 Oct 2004 20:04 |
