This pub has been taken over by a consortium of young people and I must say that the standard of the beer has been vastly improved, the service and the food is much better also, I shall be visiting this pub more often now!! GOOD LUCK TO THEM FOR SAVING OUR VILLAGE PUB

We visited this pub for a quick pint last night. Before serving us the barmaid (friendly but overworked I suppose) was called away to serve food. We waited and were then served a very sour pint. We asked for a replacement, but before we could get one the barmaid was called away to serve food again - three times! We waited for more than ten minutes and when she came back we asked nicely for a refund - she needed to ask the landlady in the kitchen for the till key. The landlady asked her if we had ordered food(no) and then said that if we were so rude we could ... (didn't quite hear) off - so politely requesting a decent pint from barstaff who don't keep disappearing is rude (presumably if you order food you can be as rude as you like!) Shant be going back...Thanks Claire Parsons!

This is a superb village pub located in the heart of the village. It is a popular social spot for all of the villagers, particularly on the weekends or before special events. Serves excellent 'pub grub', but can be a little pricey. Has some events on throughout the year, with karaoke always proving popular. Highly recommend a visit if you have just moved into the village as it's definately the quickest way to meet new people.

This pub has a cosy family feel during the day but is a lively and community spirited pub at night. Great food at very reasonable prices.
