Fantastic atmosphere in this Victorian backstreet boozer, but badly let down by the on-site Barum Brewery. All the beers were lifeless and not easy drinking. A large group of us (all seasoned ale heads) left the pub leaving behind half full glasses which says alot - I hope they can turn this around as this pub could be one of the best in the south west.

Late comments from September. I am not a local. but would like to be. Always come when within holidaying travel distance and have done for years. Great beer and atmosphere. Enjoyed 3 of the Barum beers this visit.

I feel very much at home here ,the regulars accept you straight away. A lovely conservatory at the back is a wonderful feature. Barum Brewery beers are brewed here and make it nigh impossible to leave. So goooood !

Love this pub when I'm down visiting my rellies in Pilton. The beer is excellent and "not just for breakfast anymore" according to their advertising. They've got a skittle alley, a pool table and good jukebox. The locals are friendly too.
