This pub could seriously do with a makeover. Now the smoking ban is in, the place really smells of stale beer and sweat.

John Barras should spend a bit of money doing it up as Raynes park is in desperate need of a good quality boozer.

I like this pub. Friendly with a great atmosphere. I found the models/barmaids pretty good too.

Doesn't seem to have got noticeably quieter despite the arrival of Wetherspoons just down the road. Barstaff can be very hit or miss - some are excellent and remember exactly when you arrived at the bar while others (often the glamorous girls who are just doing bar work to supplement their modelling careers) will make a beeline for the loudest or trendiest bloke who has just arrived. Beer is cheap, and in fact seems cheaper than it used to be - probably as a way of competing with JDW. Two big screens and a number of smaller TVs for the sport, and a pool table completes the picture.

I was there last Sat and there was a live band on - very good it was too. The is a Weatherspoons opening in the next few days that should give it a run ofr its money.

A great pub since the new manager Matt has taken over. Great screens to watch sports and a good selection of beers with one of the finest drops of Guinness in London. Good food and something for everyone. Recommend.
