Bit of an everything pub, service very changable, real beer OK. food inexpensive but so-so. However, if you want to watch football NOT on 3D, then this isn;t the place for you....

Brought here many moons ago by my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. In those days (1990s ?) it had not one but two bar billiards tables side by side. Expect those have long since gone, but I'll never forget it.

Had a good pint of ale here, and they were happy to change the one that was off. Refreshingly cheaper than London pubs.

Coeliacs beware, however. Even the baked potatoes contain gluten(?!), we were told.

A bit too sport-oriented for my liking, but good if that's your thing.

They've done a refit! And a huge well done it is too because they seemed to have read my previous review! New upholstery, new tables and new paintwork. Tried it on opening day and despite the usual teething troubles with the (new) tills everything still seemed reassuringly familiar to the old place with the characters still frequenting.

A superlative pub with some great characters, loads of TV screens for various footie matches,a secret garden,2 cheerful barmaids, just don't go in there if Chelsea are losing a live match
