Pleasant cosy pub up the hill from the caves. Missus enjoyed her tea while I had a pint of TEA (the Hogs back variety). Was it Paul or Simon who declared they smoked a pint of tea a day ?
Anyhow worth a visit when in the vicinity.

A Wednesday night visit while in the area for a football game in very late July.

I’d never been here before & with it being in the current GBG I was expecting a nice pub with good ales, and this is exactly what the Imperial Arms is.

3 ales on the hand pumps with the Harvey’s Sussex Best being on good form, other choices were Doom Bar or Pedigree

Half busy during my time here, it was very warm and they were having problems with the air conditioning so we had to keep opening the door.

Friendly barmaids who were chatty and apologetic about the music that the juke box was churning out, it was fine.

We didn’t venture in the attractive looking beer garden, with it’s own bar area….I bet this is packed at weekends.

Stayed for over an hour, had several pints, London prices, locals fine, all in all worth a visit in my book.

Beer is well kept, Doom Bar and Harveys normally on tap. Comfortable "locals" pub. Get a feeling that the owners are taking their eye off the ball here and concentrating on the adjoining wine bar, as the atmosphere in recent weeks has become more laddish. The live music also appears to be drying up which is a shame.

The pub has just been done up and very nice it is too. My wife and I took a stroll up here last weekend having received a flyer the week previous. The Doom Bar was very good and my wife was very happy with the draught Aspells. We had a bite to eat and the food was really nice. There were a few people in on the Saturday afternoon which gave the pub a nice atmosphere

Thought I'd walked into the wrong pub. People dressed up for the evening, smart new bar, good food, polite staff and a decent pint of Doom Bar. A huge improvement.
