Decent boozer. Not a real ale joint. Bizarrely it sells Skol.
Regular live bands.
As stated previously the staff are friendly enough but they need to realise that there's no point in working behind such a long bar if you only notice the punters at one end of it.

excellent pub. really friendly staff. nice stripped-back decor, good selection of drinks. and free live music with actually good stuff put on ! hope it doesn't get TOO popular !

This place has undergone a revival as you can see from reviews in the last year. I must admit I didn't see what it was like pre 2011, but this is not really a CAMRA friendly pub with only London Pride on draft but it great for outdoor drinking and runs some excellent events. It would be fair to say that their is room for improvement there, but this is more of a bar with late licence place than a traditional English pub. All events seem to be free and they do something most days. I have been to the comedy on a Wednesday a few times which is great fun, but without TVs showing sports a pub has to do something special to get people in the door in addition to have a nice decor and comfy chairs and good beers. The Finsbury does all of this really well, which is why it is a popular, on the up, sort of place popular with 20 and 30 somethings. In winter it is the gorgeous, candlelit room for live music and comedy with the highest stage I have seen and in summer, its the tables outside that are in demand with groups out for a beer. Staropramen, Stella, Fosters and London Pride on tap here.

Not a bad pub. As folk have said, going somewhere. Very cosmopolitan crowd with a mix of Eastern Europeans, Turks, South Americans, Chinese and others. A salsa night. Some good live music and DJing. Beer a bit pricey for this neck of the woods but not enough to make you choke on your pint.

A really cosy place. Lovely staff and great music. Have been there recently a few times and the events are amazing. it is really on its way to become something more than just a local pub.
