Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. On the face of it a great looking pub in a stunning location but our experience was heavily tarnished by rude staff, poor service, overpriced food (8.50 FOR 3 scallops) and a confrontational landlord verbally abusing other customers. The potential for this pub is huge and it's worrying to think that it will flourish simply due to location. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the Crown and Anchor round the corner and you should certainly take your custom to an establishment that deserves it.

I'm not surprised by the mix of reviews here. Structurally, it's a nice pub in a beautiful location and I've had good nights here in the past. The last time I went I made the mistake of making a complaint about my meal and was subjected to an unbelievable level of abuse from the landlord, told my money was no good and asked to leave.

Check around the internet and you'll find some stunning stories of aggresive, bulling behaviour from the staff in this pub. There are plenty of 4/5* star ones as well which I can kind of understand (although the prices are extortionate) but to be honest, the sea view is the only thing going for it. The staff clearly think that their bar is so great that they can afford to treat paying customers like scum and business will continue to boom. I hope they're wrong.

This is an OK pub. The food was of a good standard and my party and I were treated with respect and the service was very good.

The area as whole is expensive, but the food and beer (passable Landlord) and pub do not justify this. 3 a pint is pricey and oven chips with a 10 fish and chips is overpriced (had the same ion Elgin for a fiver) but I accept its a tourist area.

Only one cask ale on was dissapointing (the other pump was Greene King IPA which I cannot count on the ground its the dregs of real ale). The Taylor Landlord was well kept and they appear to have a quick turnaround on this (but bar staff - fill em up please!)

Overall a nice visit to a pub in an outstandingly beautiful area, but inside I felt I could have been anywhere. At least we were not verbally attacked, as we were the pub next door (The Crown and Anchor run by Finlay).

Very friendly, comfortable pub with good, if pricey, beer and food. The sea food and fried haddock were particularly good but why not serve this with homemade chips?? They presumably wouldn't dream of serving instant mash so why dish up frozen chips? Otherwise worth a visit.

Never had a bad night in the Kimbo. Great food, great service and a bloody good laugh with the locals. Realised why certain reviews are not so good about this pub as i witnessed a rude and obnoxious customer being removed from the premises one night - basically the landlord does not stand for any swearing, or abuse towards his staff in any way, shape or form - instead flying in the face of convention and keeping The Kimberley a quality FAMILY pub, which is something i feel should be commended!

If you are in Findhorn it would be a crime not to visit this fantastic pub, i'll return many time in the future!
