Building is about to be made into flats. A very sad moment. This means that the Chastterton arms now is the only local place to drink, and thats not that good.

In these finacially testing times it will take an extremely brave person to take this pub on. This pub is crying out to be a freehold with real ale and middle market home cooked food,. Yes! this pub does have potential with an exellent garden to the rear. At the moment no work started and it's starting to look an eyesore.

Currently closed, awaiting commencement of some building work. The usual planning permission notices are pinned to the door, but no apparent sign of any imminent work taking place.

To place this woebegone and dire pub in Bickley is clearly trying to glam it up a bit. It is slap bang in the centre of Bromley Common!

The pub is a 'local pub for local people,' where strangers are made to feel less than welcome. The food is dire (assuming that is that they have got any,) and the ale is always off (even when its on, if you know what I mean.)
