It's a nice bar, the food it serves is gfood and they have a nice selection of beer including Blue Moon on draught and Cains. Two cocktails for £6 between 5 and 8. The only problem you might have is that the bar staff sometimes have absolutely no idea who's next to be served, so not a place to visit if you're in a bad mood. Pop music blasts from the speakers, pop videos on the flat screens. You get some proper beauts in there some nights, luck of the draw. thegreatbarred - 9 Dec 2011 15:08
I met some friends in here last night prior to going to the Philharmonic Hall. Cains bitter was available and one pal confirmed it was ok. I noticed that there was a pump that I didn't recognise. Upon enquiring I was told that it was Blue Moon, an American Wheat Beer. However as it was £4 a pint I declined. I had a pint of Peroni. The pub was less than half full at 7:30 but when we walked past at 10:15 it was crowded. As stated on a previous visit, a decent place to meet but not somewhere to stay all evening. wirraldrinker - 8 Dec 2010 09:58
A lively, spacious, modern bar. Plenty of tables and seats. A good customer age range. Two large screens showing France vs England rugby match when I was there last night. Mostly Eurofiz for sale and Cain's was the only bitter available. Not a place I would go out of my way to visit but a good venue to meet at prior to moving on. wirraldrinker - 21 Mar 2010 16:54
After a major refurb this is a great place. Nice atmosphere and reasonable priced drinks. Can not wait for the summer to experience drinking under the retractable roof Beer_and_Cheer - 17 Feb 2009 14:17
Inside can get a bit hot and sweaty and crowded, but go outside and sit off (weather permitting) and you have yourself a damned fine bar. Scousefire - 7 Sep 2005 16:55
