I wasn’t expecting this place to be much cop due to the crap name, but I was very wrong as I had a good time watching the football on one of their three plasma screens. The barman was very friendly and my Guinness was on good form. Young’s Ordinary and Adnams were also available along with a standard draught selection.

It is primarily a sports pub, but I would happily drink in here when there is no match on which is rare for sports pubs as they are usually devoid of atmosphere when the footie is not on.

As the name suggests, Thai food is available, but I did not try any even though it smelt really good.

I’d get rid of the electronic advertisement screen in the bar area the type of which is usually found in a club toilet, but apart from that I really liked this place and would have no hesitation in returning.

The food was good and reasonably priced. There seems to be a bit of confusion about whether or not a table can be booked as we booked a table only to find when we got there that they don't accept table bookings. We also phoned ahead to ensure that they were showing the SA vs Australia cricket match and were very disappointed to hear that they were not showing the 2nd innings as they planned to show the Israel England football match which had been advertised. Given that this is a South African pub in London and that we had planned to be there for the duration of the cricket match, eating lunch and dinner, we were less than happy to say the least. So if you are planning on going there to watch a sporting event, don't trust whoever answers the phone!

Nice little place. Carpet could use a wash, probably hasn't seen one since Thatcher. Great service, especially from the nice Swede dude, although he might be mistaken for a philosophy student on his way home from his studies in the library at the British Museum. The ladies do a right pint as well. Hard working young man managing it well, and it shows.

The Bok Bar - perfect for a winters night as its always about 40 degrees inside... are they taking the authenticity too far here?

Best pint of Guinness around (new tap apparently) and a top selection of 'nouveau ciders'... all reasonably priced. Not a lot of bottled lager. Food is also worth a butcher's. Staff are accomodating... met a south african guy who was very genial until I pointed out his national cricket team was pants.

As an addendum to previous poster there is indeed a good atmosphere most nights.... strangely less busy but noisier on a sunday. If you're looking to watch top grade sport (or just Tottenham) this is the place.

Couldnt find the downstairs toilets and there were about 50 different free papers which were redundant. Gents needs a refurb.

Loved the Leopard print! Grrrrrrrr.
