Food is variable in quality (owners have another pub somewhere in hampshire). Bit expensive to be honest and my experience has been that they are not too keen on drinkers, food is firmly the emphaisis (this from other people I know who have used recently). At least it isnt just a restuarant like the old Leckford is.

This is a great pub. They actually make the 'drinker' feel welcome, you do not have to eat. I had a meal here two weeks ago 9a party of 5) the food, on the whole, was great. However, don't have the steak!!! My was tough, real 'scrag end stuff' and I wasn't given a steak knife despite asking. The waitress was Eastern European and her understanding was basic to say the least. Other than that .....ALL GOOD!! 7/10 from me!!

More of an upmarket restaurant than a pub. All tables are made for food. They do have 3 real ales - Ringwood Best & 49er and Sharps Doom Bar. We sat outside, as the temperatures were quite mild and in any case there were no spare seats at the bar. The language coming from the kitchen did not befit an upmarket gastropub. The sewage-like smells were also a bit of a put-off. But hopefully for the diners, this was just the drains. Both the gents and ladies toilets were very nicely decorated. Although the pictures of topless ladies 'angling' (in the gents) seemed out-of-place. Nice enough place in a beautiful rural village. But I didn't feel too comfortable here.

An excellent up-market pub with fantastic (if pricey) food, very friendly and welcoming staff and reasonable beer. There were 3 ales on when we went. The Youngs I had was a little past its best but still drinkable. The clientele was a friendly and sociable mixture and ranged from faces seen on tv to locals, yet eveyone received the same great welcome and service.

Would happily eat and drink here anytime.

Pub was lovely with a nice atmosphere that made you want to sit for the afternoon and relax. On the main the staff were friendly - only the bill was wrong twice! Food tasty but the cheese board was a little (in fact tiny) joke - £7 for the teeniest bit of cheese! Would go again when not feeling very hungry but fancy a nice meal!
