"Up market Wetherspoons!" What on earth makes you think it has anything "up market" about it? The pub is bog standard and is no better than quiet a few Wetherspoons I have been in. The beer selection in your average Wetherspoons is far better than the usual fizzy pop on offer here. kevmac - 28 May 2011 16:14

I agree with previous comments. It's not bad but lacks the touch that a good landlord (or lady) would bring. They could definitely do with more staff, even on a slow Thursday lunchtime one person on the bar taking food orders and serving drinks is not enough. Probably hasn't changed since MorkLoy's post in 2004 8100bob - 14 Nov 2009 15:59
Bit faceless, bit townie, but they do decent food and the locals are friendly enough Russ_D - 22 Feb 2009 17:10
Reasonable enough place, warm on a freezing night. Tellys with Sky Sports news with no sound or pub adverts. Same chain as Assembly Bedminster but only Courage and Bombardier as real ales. Bar left un-womanned on several occasions on my visit. Place was shiny and clean and Bombardier was good I must say though. an_ecunemical_matter - 30 Jan 2008 18:51
