Superb evening in early October, moored right outside with a loaded pair. Had a few pints of the two locks also bought some of the cheese they sell. If you like strong Chedder this is the place to get it. Really good atmosphere and a real gem to look out for. Cannot comment on the food as we did not eat.

Good pints of Keystone Hops and Double Locks, brewed for the pub. Refreshingly eclectic jukebox as well for those so inclined.

Lovely pub , right on the canal. Had Sunday lunch here the food was very good and not too pricy! 6 real ales on ( one out of the barrel ) all good condition. A lot of new building going on locally so might change in the near future.

Not terrific atmosphere inside but friendly enough staff, great two locks bitter and good food! Wonderful to take a bike ride up on the cut and have a couple of pints outside when the weather allows .

Its not loud. Its not a spotless newly furbed chain pub. Its not a pub for posh nosh...or dressing up. But it is great. Great beer, friendly staff, good value decent food. Often a good mix of locals, walkers, and those from canal boats. If you'd like to try the best down to earth pub in these parts, this is it.
