Superb evening in early October, moored right outside with a loaded pair. Had a few pints of the two locks also bought some of the cheese they sell. If you like strong Chedder this is the place to get it. Really good atmosphere and a real gem to look out for. Cannot comment on the food as we did not eat. lot14 - 21 Nov 2009 21:34
Good pints of Keystone Hops and Double Locks, brewed for the pub. Refreshingly eclectic jukebox as well for those so inclined. JonW999 - 3 Aug 2009 18:40
Lovely pub , right on the canal. Had Sunday lunch here the food was very good and not too pricy! 6 real ales on ( one out of the barrel ) all good condition. A lot of new building going on locally so might change in the near future. lotus - 23 Mar 2009 16:23
Not terrific atmosphere inside but friendly enough staff, great two locks bitter and good food! Wonderful to take a bike ride up on the cut and have a couple of pints outside when the weather allows . oldfrank - 5 Dec 2008 00:00
Its not loud. Its not a spotless newly furbed chain pub. Its not a pub for posh nosh...or dressing up. But it is great. Great beer, friendly staff, good value decent food. Often a good mix of locals, walkers, and those from canal boats. If you'd like to try the best down to earth pub in these parts, this is it. tski - 10 Jun 2008 22:41
