| This pub has sadly closed down. It was a great pub that served the local community well. Sad the way the manager and staff were given very short notice of the pub's demise. | This used to be my lunchtime local, circa 1992, whilst I was attending the local college. It is primarily a sports pub with 3 pool tables in their own little areas at the rear of the building and a few large plasma screens dotted about showing Sky Sports day and night. The Manager seems very friendly and was quick to finish playing the fruit machine to come and serve me and the prices are reasonable. Various standard lagers are available alongside Pride and John Smiths Smooth. There is some outside seating in a small paved area and there is also a wooden smoking shelter to protect from the elements.
