I regularly eat here with my wife on a Friday lunchtime, but it has gone downhill a LOT recently. Tables are cluttered with empty glasses and finished dinner plates. We like a nice quiet spot, but the usual covern of teachers usually spoil that by cramming 8 or so of them around a table for 6 and cackle amongst themselves, getting louder and louder.
The staff were once friendly and helpful, but now seem ill mannered with a 'yeah, mate?' when I approach to order drinks and it seems a real effort to get served.
A little footnote here to the management, get some £5 notes in, Im sick of getting £8 change in £1 coins!!

This is a great pub, good food, good service and well maintained decor after the recent refurb, which is due to Josie & Alan the owners. I agree with the previous comment it makes a big difference the fact that it's not a chain. What's more there is no loud music, so you can actually have a conversation without shouting to be heard.

Food is served through the day, till early evening. The evenings are reserved for the drinkers and it's always a mixed crowd, great for all. It's always a good venue for a night out what ever size of group.

Not bad as Nuneaton goes, but the clientel do look like they've spent the afternoon down Toni and Guys. Can get a bit rammed in the evenings, but not too bad during the day. Perfect for a pint if your gran lives in the old peoples home next door.

This isn't a question rather a comment to all you prospective Scottish or Irish punter wishing to enjoy a drink or meal in the Attleborough Arms. On a recent visit with family after spending a fair amount of money in the bar we all decided to have a sweet to round off the meal. After ordering I went to pay with a legal tender, sterling Scottish £20.00, to be told that they do not accept Scottish money. For a start I was highly embarrassed and asked to speak to the manager, who confirmed in a forgeign accent that they do not accept Scottish money. As a true patriotic Scottish Girl I feel that the english really let themselves down by doing stupid things like NOT ACCEPTING SCOTTISH (or norethern irish for that matter) MONEY. I would like to point out that in Scotland and Ireland we are far nicer people and accept ENGLISH money with no hassels. So if you are Scottish or Irish please feel free to not give the Attleborough Arms your trade!!!!

Well kept beer, large bar, large car park, excellent food. Run by the owners, which I find makes all the difference. NOT A CHAIN.
