the horse and jockey can be a bit wild but the landlord keeps the place in check (decent fella). bar staff are freindly and i've never had a problem with the guiness. if you enjoy the hell hole (bamboo) you'll no doubt meet your mates in here before it opens (shame). fatpet - 1 Nov 2009 11:31
There early on a Saturday. Fortunately left before the inevitable fight broke out. Unles you are 6ft 4in+, best avoided. Windsor_lad - 4 Feb 2008 18:02
Early on a Saturday night and it was pandemonium in this pub. People shouting, whistling, jostling - a pretty edgy atmosphere. Also Holts beer was awful. We couldn't get out of here fast enough - avoid. andy99 - 27 Jan 2008 17:46

Very small, and seems to be an alcohlic's pub(then again, what isn't?). Quite a good jukebox (not much modern though) and a just about playable pool table. Alright for a couple of lunchtime frames, but gernerally lifeless. anonymous - 15 Aug 2007 17:50
