Refurbed about 6 months ago. Much better & cleaner. Prices have gone up a bit for drinks & food so generally better class of people. Due to stange fence in the garden area the sloped beer garden does not get used anymore, which is a shame as this was the main feature for this pub in yeateryear. Oh yeah & the dogs on the roof have gone too wallplanner - 29 Jul 2008 12:34
I've seen loads of fights in here. Best thing about this pub is that I keeps the Chav element away from better pubs. wallplanner - 18 Jun 2007 16:08
Terrible bland pub you'd expect from the Mr Q's chain anonymous - 15 Jan 2006 17:09
This is one of the worst pubs i have ever been in. Recently went there on a Saturday afternoon and had to ask FIVE times for the big screen to be put on and then had to ask another THREE times to get the correct match on (even though the match i wanted to watch was advertised throughout the pub) Food was terrible and obviously out of a packet plus it was full of townie yobs in tracksuits! Wont be going there again........ Poppadomtom - 25 Oct 2005 14:35
Ahhh, the Old Ball! What can I say about this pub? Well, I used to go here most nights between 1987 and 1990 - best days of my life? Maybe! Sometimes meet old friends here when I come back up to Leeds for the weekend. Yes, it's more of a pub for young and noisy people now! But, that's exactly what it was when I used to go - except it was in the 80s :) leeclark - 14 Sep 2005 11:10
