| £3.00 a pint for Taylor's Landlord may not be great value, but the beer was on good form. This is a comfortable town centre pub, the sort of place you can take your mother or your wife to without feeling out of place enjoying a beer or two. | Has just reopened as the Red Lion Hotel after a refurbishment. Now appears to be aiming at a slightly different market - at least during the daytime - and offer reasonably priced food and coffee as well as a welcome 3 real ales (Youngs Bitter, Wells Eagle and Taylor's Landlord).
