The George and Dragon is a typical country pub located in the centre of Headcorn village advertising locally sourced home cooked food. The George is however part of Enterprise Inns and as such the food is delivered in frozen and the speed at which food arrives would suggest it is microwaved. The food is very overpriced and the quality is at best average. Drinks are also expensive and the wine is from boxes. Service is also unfriendly making the whole experience very disappointing. local606 - 24 Aug 2009 19:55
The best pub in Headcorn (but that's not saying very much...), with two Shepherd Neame ales on (Master Brew and Spitfire) and several fancy draughtlagers. Nicely decorated bar, and reasonable looking menu, but very pricey beer. rpadam - 10 Mar 2008 22:17
Typical Kentish pub situated in the village of Headcorn about 10 miles south of Maidstone. Good beer including Hoegarten on draught and excellent food. Bar snacks but also seperate restaurant. David George - davenval@btinternet.com - 1 Sep 2004 18:08
