Large open plan with plenty of tables. The beer has a reasonable selection and a good sized bar. the beer was ok, but i have heard other people say a few pints they have had there were not so good. well equiped for all ages, but mainly younger people go in there. worth a try and a good reasonable pub when your on a crawl in exeter centre Bazmatti - 28 Aug 2008 20:26
Very popular with University students. So don't expect a quiet pint during term times. During the week amidst the summer break, the opposite is true. The Landlord (Chris) does run a very tight ship though (including prompt closing - but often extends hours at weekends) and the staff are engaging and helpful. Not a cheap pub, but generally friendly with plenty of Sport shown. Lay-out is one big bar these days. I pine for the days when there was a cosy snug and separate Bar and Lounge, but then I'm a bit of an ageing old git. citydrinker - 12 Sep 2007 10:30

Easy going atmosphere, lots of space - good meeting point. Pool table, quiz/fruit machines, big screen - mainly for footy, but all sports shown. friendly staff, no hassle pub as just off high street, so no leary bouncers. Run by 2 great managers for past 11 years, 2 footy teams for sunday league, food at lunch and tea time most days! Darby - 31 Aug 2004 18:36
