Absolutely dreadful attitude and customer services. Staff are rude to the point of aggression for no apparent reason. Would not recommend to anyone for a drink let alone an overnight stay. Abysmal overall. amymj - 19 Dec 2011 00:19
Friendly local pub, youth hostel upstairs adds to the atmosphere, cheap drinks every night between 4 and 7pm! The pool table has gone and so have the dodgier clientelle, only pizza available on the menu, but a good place for a few drinks before hitting the West End! irishmark - 2 May 2011 18:45
I went to this pub last weekend with my husband..we were planning on one drink and ended up staying for 4 hours! It is a 'local' pub and everyone knows everyone...but that's what made it so great...people spoke to us and made us very welcome. We went on Karaoke night and it was great fun. The bar staff were great and prices reasonable..... I would suggest to everyone in this area to go and visit!!! Sussexgal - 14 Feb 2011 22:19
Fairly uininspiring single room traditional style pub offering only Marston Pedigree on pump as well as a range of normal and premium lagers. Furniture mostly traditional chairs and tables but a couple of the dreaded sofas and two or three flat screens on the walls for footy watching. Live music is offered on Thursday evenings and although this is not a great place it is better than most of its neighbours. murgatroyd - 16 Dec 2009 05:45
We visited this pub 3 times in 3 days. The pub grub was very good as was the service. It has been fixed up nicely both inside and out. I would recommend this pub to anyone staying at the Hilton Metropole across the street. tbowling - 29 Jul 2009 21:18
