Bit of an update on the previous posts, now 2009. I think the milk coloured fox has moved on *shame* she was a dish. The food and the ale are always sound and worth a weekend pub lunch if you are suffering from chish and fips overload. It is a great place with a roaring fire and usually a couple of minxes serving quality (S. Neame) ales. (Yes Andy Bell was in there when I was in there). Ale well kept 9 out of 10 Food, 9 out of 10 (always good and sometimes willing to take late orders 1503 on a Sunday). pint_o_mild_please - 16 Mar 2009 18:19
Yes Zagreb is right - the bar staff do fancy themselves! Beer OK staff cocky at times, not a bad pub otherwise. hopbine - 30 Dec 2008 12:28
This is an o.k. pub now and a refreshing antidote to the awfulness that is the Dragon bar opposite, (although it appears at times to be the annex). If you are a 16 year old indie type trying to be acheingly hip, then go to the Dragon wearing an arsey hat and 'mingle'... PUKE. adrianboult - 14 Sep 2008 16:54
Not too bad a pub, althought the barstaff fancy themselves too much, yes you are pretty. Stop wearing too short a dress if you are paler than milk zagreb - 1 Jun 2008 16:28
Nice little pub, but the staff are always trolleyed. You can always somehow get a seat though, no matter how crowded it is. steve5312 - 29 May 2007 15:16
